| Description | | On 31 August 2007, Plenary Environment was awarded the contract to deliver the Barwon Water Biosolids Management Project.
An easy to understand project summary was released on 22 November 2007 and is available in downloads below.
This project seeks to develop a sustainable programme for the treatment and beneficial use of biosolids from the Black Rock Water Reclamation Plant and Barwon Water’s other water reclamation plants.
Plenary Environment will design, build, finance and operate the facility. The contract will be for a 20-year period post commissioning.
The project involves Plenary Environment providing the following services:
- accepting delivery of input materials;
- processing input materials;
- storing input and output materials;
- providing measuring equipment;
- beneficial use of output materials in line with Environmental Protection Authority requirements;
- complaints handling; and
- monthly performance reporting.
As per Government's Partnerships Victoria Disclosure Policy, the contract and project summary have now been released.
The plant is due to become operational in early 2010. |
